A Family Adventure in Denmark

“Why Denmark?” Everyone asked when I told them what our summer holiday destination was! OK, so it was a bit of a random choice but I’ve always wanted to explore Scandinavia and Denmark seemed like a good place start – its always top of the charts when it comes to the “happiest places to live” and I had heard lots of good things about how easy it was to travel with children there. So flights were booked, plans were made and bags were packed!

Mini Adventure: Beryl’s Campsite

The summer holidays are finally here and we’ve survived the first year of school! Time for a much needed break from the routine and some fun adventures. Our first trip was three nights camping with the two boys and my Mum.

We choose Beryl’s Campsite in the tiny village of Beeson on the South Devon coast, the campsite had some great reviews on the Cool Camping website and it’s an area we’d not really explored before so we decieded to give it a go.

Mini Adventure: Camping at Little Meadows

The early summer had shown such glorious promise that me and my Mum decided to risk it and take the boys camping for a couple of nights in late August. We chose North Devon as it is an easy two and a half hour drive from Bath with some lovely sandy beaches. We decided to book a pitch at Little Meadows campsite between Ilfracombe and Combe Martin for three nights.

Mini Adventure: Canoeing on the River Wye

Last weekends mini adventure was a trip down the River Wye in canoes! We booked a half day trip from Kerne Bridge to Symonds Yat with the River Wye Canoe company and it didn’t disappoint.
